While toner supplies the "ink," the drum physically transfers the image to the paper. A worn drum causes streaks, fading, and background shading.
Many modern printers (especially Lexmark, Xerox, and Brother) separate the toner cartridge from the imaging drum. This saves money, as drums typically outlast toner by 3-to-1 or more.
If your pages have repeating vertical lines, dots that occur at regular intervals, or a gray background across the whole page, it is almost certainly a worn drum.
Color laser printers use four separate imaging units (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). We stock complete sets as well as individual colors to keep your fleet running.
Most drum units are designed as user-replaceable consumable items. They slide in quickly, preventing the need for a costly service call.
Provide your printer model or the specific drum part number. Our team will verify compatibility and provide pricing.
